MWA Ecosystems Completes Mechanical Plumbing Works for Manchester’s First New City Centre Primary School in Nearly Two Decades
Leading contractor supports milestone education development for Renaker with specialist building services
MWA Ecosystems is proud to have delivered the complete mechanical plumbing installation for Crown Street Primary School, the first primary school to be built in Manchester’s city centre in almost 20 years. Developed by Renaker, this flagship project represents a major investment in the city’s educational infrastructure. MWA played a key role in ensuring the building’s essential systems were installed to the highest standards, contributing to the successful delivery of this landmark development.

PRIMARYSCHOOL
Crown Street Primary School is situated between Crown Street and The Blade at Renaker’s New Jackson neighbourhood, a world-class skyscraper district at the city’s southern gateway.
The school is a unique building with four floors and a rooftop playground, a design which mirrors schools found in London and New York. It is an inclusive, non-selective, non-denominational one-form entry school, able to accommodate 210 children and 26 nursery places

mwa role
MWA Ecosystems was appointed to deliver the complete design, supply, and installation of plumbing and mechanical services for the new school.
Working in partnership with specialist consultants in mechanical and public health engineering, we developed efficient, cost-effective strategies for key systems including above-ground drainage, rainwater, domestic water, and low-temperature hot water.
